...because they must need a little Christmas...
...The Tuvan band Alash will be joining Béla Fleck & the Flecktones on a U.S. tour that includes Christmas carols with throat-singing elements. How about a Tuve rendition of "Jingle Bells"? After you hear "What Child is This?" performed with an interwoven Tuve throat-singing melody, you may never be able to listen to the traditional English carol the same way again (or "Greensleeves" for that matter...).
Find out more at World Music Central or check Alash's website for info about concert schedules. It looks like they'll be in Chicago December 12...if you go, and they take requests, ask them to sing "Baby It's Cold Outside" in Tuvan form for me!
