This photo is of Troupe Zahava dancers, photoshopped by dancer Sarah Berkley to look zombie-esque. I posted a smaller version of this image last week, but it wasn't large enough (or for whatever reason) for Facebook to use as the link image when I posted a link to my show.

I'm posting this now primarily so I'll have a seasonally appropriate image to use in my link tonight. It's either this or using the same old pic of me playing a saz, and I'm all about sharing the spotlight. ;-)

Are you ready for the Zombie Apocalypse?

Karida's School of Orientale Dance is offering a special workshop & performance this Saturday for bellydancers in the Central Illinois area. Salwa, director of the Aalim Dance Academy, is coming up from St. Louis to teach a special choreography for "Bongo Funk" from 12 - 3pm. Workshop price $40 (paid by Oct 20), or $50 at the door.

Performance is FREE and begins at 6 in the parking lot with a LARGE cast of dancers performing Michael Jackson's "Thriller"; afterward the show moves indoors. Workshop and show will be at 1432 E Sangamon Ave, Springfield, IL.
